"Wine is the most civilized thing in the world"

ERNEST HEMMINGWAY

Why should I swirl wine in my glass before I drink it?

By swirling your wine, oxygen is invited into the glass, which allows the aromas to escape.

Avery Brewing Co's "White Rascal" Belgian-Style White

Boulder, Colorado

A truly authentic Belgian style wheat or "white" ale, this Rascal is unfiltered (yup, that's yeast on the bottom) and cleverly spiced with coriander and Curacao orange peel producing a refreshingly fruity thirst quencher.

21st Amendment Brewery's "Brew Free or Die" IPA

San Francisco, California

BREW FREE! OR DIE IPA is brewed with some serious west coast attitude. This aromatic golden IPA starts with a sucker punch of six different hops to the nose, quickly balanced by a solid malt backbone.

Powell & Mahoney Vintage Original Cocktail Mixers

Powell & Mahoney captures the clean and classic tastes of some of America’s original cocktails, in a mixer made with only the absolute highest quality, all-natural ingredients.
This line of all-natural, micro-batch produced cocktail mixers reproduces the authentic and classic flavors, style and spirit of some of America’s great, original cocktails.

Flavors: Bloody Mary, Margarita, Mojito, Cosmopolitan, Ginger, Pomegranate, Peach Bellini, and Lemon Sour

Istara

This is a wonderful version of the traditional Ossau-Iraty-Brebis from the Rigal Family of cheeses. It has a dense, semi-firm texture sometimes broken with a few thing fissures or holes but otherwise compact. The flavor is refined and balanced -- aromatic herbaceaous and fruity qualities with a buttery rich finish. This cheese is similar in style to an Etorki but has much more character and complexity largely due to its AOC status. Anyone who enjoys sheep cheese will quickly become an addict.

Tomme Crayeuse

Crayeuse, meaning "Chalky," is an integral characteristic of this raw cow’s milk cheese from Savoie. The cheese is set to age in a warm, moist cave that speeds ripening, developing a thick, creamy outer layer. When moved to a cooler cave, ripening slows, leaving an interior dense and chalky. The flavor is complex: lactic, mushroomy, and earthy blending into an elevated essence of buttered toast. The stunning yellow-mottling on the rind develops naturally as a result of cellulose in the cows’ diet.

Tomme Fleur Verte

Aromatic herbs, tarragon and juniper berries surround this luscious goat cheese. It is soft and creamy and its taste is loaded with herbaceous overtones. Truly decadent!

Cypress Grove "Humboldt Fog"

Our signature offering, Humboldt Fog® is an elegant, soft, surface ripened cheese. The texture is creamy and luscious with a subtle tangy flavor. Each handcrafted wheel features a ribbon of edible vegetable ash along its center and a coating of ash under its exterior to give it a distinctive, cake-like appearance. An American Original!

Leonetti Cellar Merlot, Walla Walla Valley, Washington 2009

Beautiful dark in color. The wine has a stunning bouquet of berries, fresh blooming flowers, cedar shavings, and mocha. On the palate, it is incredibly long, lush, and soft, with pure fruit and melted caramel. 78% Merlot, 13% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Malbec, 3% Cabernet Franc

New Arrivals Winter 2010/2011

Just a few additions to our inventory:

Meiomi Pinot Noir 2008

Sonoma/Monterey/Santa Barbara Counties, California

Deep garnet color. Luxurious and dynamic aromas of ripe strawberry, bright cherry and faint notes of spicy oak and vanilla. The complexity of the palate smoothly layers rich red currant notes and baking spice flavors with light smoke, earth and leather. A balanced, velvety texture and supple tannins carry the wine through to a lingering, succulent finish.

Stafford Hill by Halloran Pinot Noir 2009

Eola-Amity Hills, Oregon

Quite nice. Delicate aromas of crumbly earth, cherry, and orange peel. The bright flavors of the same, along with a pinch of peppery spice, show good length. Brisk yet gentle acidity and smooth, medium-light texture.

Foppiano Petite Sirah 2008

Russian River

On the nose blueberries and dark chocolate are the predominant aromatics with a touch of floral and spice. Flavors of blueberry, blackberry and black cherry commingle with hints of graham cracker and vanilla and a touch of white pepper. The well structured tannins produce a long silky finish with fruit to the end.

Hoopes Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2006

Oakville, Napa Valley

This Cabernet Sauvignon is serious, complex, and earthy. Hoopes Family Vineyard & Winery is an 8 acre vineyard in Napa Valley's Oakville appellation. Very limited yields result in superb aromatics, strikingly rich and brilliant flavors with full soft tannins.

Steele's Shooting Star Pinot Noir 2008

Lake County

Tutunjian Estate Vineyards Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

Curico Valley

The Tutunjian Single Vineyard wine comprises a complex, balanced and robust wine of Cabernet Sauvignon. It is characterized by juicy touches of blackberry and blueberry with a subtle aroma of tobacco and minerals well combined with a delicate layer of oak.

Apaltagua Reserva Malbec 2008

Maule Valley, Chile

The Huaquen vineyards, situated between the Curico and Maule Valleys, produce a Malbec with very distinct characteristics. Bright and ruby red in color, the Apaltagua Reserva Malbec possesses notes of cherry and cassis with a touch of vanilla. The oral notes also give this wine an edge. On the palate it has well-rounded touches of red fruits and plum.

Green & Red Vineyard Zinfandel 2008

Napa Valley

Plush and ripe, offering bold aromas of black cherry and toasty oak, with succulent, almost sweet flavors of cassis, sage and black pepper.
